Hi friends! I’m Marissa from Prickly Pear Design Co., and Sheena so graciously offered to let me guest post today – so here I am! Here in Idaho, we’re finally seeing warmer days filled with sunshine and I’m loving it. Even though it happens every year, Spring brings such a revival. It’s fresh and new and brings a surge of hope as flowers pop through the ground, and the outdoors start to come alive. It seems perfect that we celebrate… Read more »

LDS YW Personal Progress Rainbow

A few years ago I served as the Personal Progress Advisor in our ward. I loved coming up with ideas to encourage the Young Women to work on their Personal Progress. I have been released from that calling for quite some time, but I still like to come up with fun ideas to get Young Women to work on their Personal Progress. This ‘YW Personal Progress Rainbow’ idea has been an idea that I have had in my mind for a long… Read more »

LDS Baptism Printables

Last May, over Memorial Day weekend, my daughter was baptized. It was a very special day, one that we were able to celebrate with family and friends. This was our second baptism, our oldest daughter, and I was kind of excited for it because I knew that I wanted to do a ‘Rainbow’ theme after the song, “When I Am Baptized”. A month or so before her baptism I decided to create a ‘Mom & Me’ baptism journal as a way… Read more »

January 2017 LDS Visiting Teaching Idea

I am so excited to share my January 2017 Visiting Teaching Printables and Idea with you today. I have been thinking about this month’s message, but didn’t have an idea of what to do. Today I read over the message again, and finally had the perfect idea. We have a huge snowstorm going on in Idaho right now, so big that they have cancelled church for us tomorrow. Before the snow showed up, I decided I’d better run to the grocery store and… Read more »

Primary 5 Scripture Cards

Last year I was released from the Primary Presidency and was called to teach the Valiant 8 & 9 year old class. When I knew that we would be released I really didn’t want to teach a Primary class, but one day (as I was probably praying that I wouldn’t get called to teach) I had a feeling, a thought, come to mind. It was kind of a ‘get over yourself’ type of feeling, but then the thought “If you don’t… Read more »

2017 Primary Planner Pages

I’m excited to share my 2017 Primary Presidency Planner Pages with all of you today! It’s taken longer than expected, but they’re finally finished. I have thought long and hard about whether I should add these sheets to my Etsy shop or keep them FREE. I know that some Wards don’t have much of a budget, so I have decided to keep my Primary Planner Pages FREE! I am so grateful for all of you, and for your kind comments. This… Read more »

Christmas Service Activity

I would have to say that my favorite holiday is Christmas, and the reason I love it so much is not because of the wonderful music, or the delicious treats, but the spirit of giving that fills the air during this time of year. This last year, my family started delivering treats to friends and neighbors each Sunday afternoon. My children loved helping me bake up some delicious treats, and then choosing families to deliver them to. A few months… Read more »
