LDS Scripture Cards

Hi friends! It’s Marissa from Prickly Pear Design Co. These scripture cards are great for adding truth and light to every day and are perfect for Young Women or Relief Society sisters. Not too long ago, I was washing dishes and listening to talks from past General Conferences. I ran across a talk, The Power of Scripture, by Elder Richard G. Scott. His words spoke to my soul, especially since President Monson instructed us to read our scriptures during this last… Read more »

General Conference Study Sheets

I have this amazing friend, Danielle. Each week she is stuck in the car with me for 2 hours as we drive to and from our weekly ‘Gathering’ for Pathway (haven’t heard of Pathway, check it out HERE!). For two hours we talk about all kinds of things. A few weeks ago she shared something with me that her Religion teacher shared with her, and she told me I needed to make a printable. Her teacher had shared a great system… Read more »

Hello! It’s Marissa from Prickly Pear Design Co.  and I’m excited to be sharing these cute little Pick Me Up Treat Tags with you today!  A few weeks ago, I got called to be the Compassionate Service Leader. When I heard those words, I automatically thought “babies, surgeries, funerals…” but compassionate service is so much more than that. Compassionate service is a chance not only to help out in times of need, but to uplift. And as I thought about… Read more »

April 2017 Visiting Teaching Idea

Are you ready for a new Visiting Teaching idea? With the help of one of my amazing friends, I finally narrowed down what to do, and I am loving it. I think I say that every month…sorry. For this month’s idea, I took the quote from Sister Burton and created a little ‘flip book’ of cards to help you take the challenge that Sister Burton presented, and memorize the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood (found in D&C 84:33-44). And… Read more »

March 2017 VT Idea

It’s time to say goodbye to another month, and begin again. I’m actually a little bit ok with it because that just means we’re getting closer to Spring. Here in Idaho we still are covered in snow, and I mean covered! Last week I started thinking about this month’s Visiting Teaching message, and what I could share. I thought of the word ‘Power’ and thought of using Powerade, but I already shared that before (you can see that idea HERE). I… Read more »

January 2017 LDS Visiting Teaching Idea

I am so excited to share my January 2017 Visiting Teaching Printables and Idea with you today. I have been thinking about this month’s message, but didn’t have an idea of what to do. Today I read over the message again, and finally had the perfect idea. We have a huge snowstorm going on in Idaho right now, so big that they have cancelled church for us tomorrow. Before the snow showed up, I decided I’d better run to the grocery store and… Read more »

Are you ready to make some changes this year? With the help of my 2017 LDS Goal Planner Booklet, set some goals that will improve your life. Last year I shared my 2016 LDS Goal Booklet, and I was so happy to have so many of you ask if I was going to create a 2017 version. That must mean that you used my 2016 version and enjoyed it! Yay! Last year I had my booklet in my Etsy shop…. Read more »

Christmas Service Activity

I would have to say that my favorite holiday is Christmas, and the reason I love it so much is not because of the wonderful music, or the delicious treats, but the spirit of giving that fills the air during this time of year. This last year, my family started delivering treats to friends and neighbors each Sunday afternoon. My children loved helping me bake up some delicious treats, and then choosing families to deliver them to. A few months… Read more »

The Family is Ordained of God

It’s October! We won’t discuss how close Christmas is…I’ll just jump right in to this month’s cute Visiting Teaching idea. 🙂 This month’s message is once again centered around family, and, as always, it is such a wonderful message. I usually awhile narrowing down what I am going to share for my idea, and this month wasn’t any different. At first I was going to share something about the family being the central ‘piece’ of Heavenly Father’s plan (attached to Reese’s… Read more »

Parenthood is a Sacred Duty

The September 2016 Visiting Teaching message focuses on Parenthood. After reading over the message, and then digging a little deeper and reading the talks/articles that the quotes were selected from, I decided to create a ‘happy home’ theme idea for my Visiting Teaching Printables this month. I think they turned out pretty cute! What do you think? I absolutely LOVED the quote from President Monson: “Give your child a compliment and a hug; say, ‘I love you’ more; always express your… Read more »
