12 Weeks to a better relationship with Jesus Christ

What kind of relationship do you have with your Father in Heaven, and your Savior, Jesus Christ? A few weeks ago I talked about this particular question on a Facebook Live video. I was discussing and sharing teaching tips for Elder Renlund’s talk, “That I Might Draw All Men unto Me”. Before my video, my husband and I studied and discussed this talk and thought that the main topic of his talk was on our relationship with Jesus Christ and… Read more »

LDS Word Search

Several weeks ago, as we were sitting in Sacrament meeting, my son pulled out a word search book and began ‘searching’. He turned to me and asked if I would help him find the words. As we sat there searching for words, I had an idea! If my son enjoys word searches, and like to do them at church, why  not create some LDS themed word searches for him and my other kiddos to enjoy?!? And that is how my… Read more »

May 206 Visiting Teaching

How is it May already?!? I am excited though that summer is almost here, and for some exciting family events coming up. We have some great lakes near us, so the kids and I, and some other ladies, have a ‘lake day’ once a week during the summer.  If you’re ever in Idaho, feel free to join our weekly lake excursion. 🙂 My oldest daughter will be turning 8 next weekend! So at the end of the month we will… Read more »

It’s a NEW year…and for many, that means new goals and resolutions. Do you set goals for yourself? Do you keep track of those goals to make sure they are achieved or do they slowly get pushed back as your life gets busy over the months, with new things taking over as ‘more important’. I have had ‘goals’ and goal making on my mind lately. I’ve read several talks on this topic, and I also created a 2016 Goals Booklet to help myself… Read more »

LDS General Conference

Two weeks ago my husband and I studied Elder James Martino’s talk, “Turn to Him and Answers Will Come.” It is a wonderful talk from the October 2015 General Conference, and is probably one of my favorites…so far. This last week I studied President Uchtdorf’s talk, “It Works Wonderfully” another amazing talk. After reading and studying both of these talks, I felt the need to take a look at my life and evaluate it and take a personal or spiritual inventory of sorts. What… Read more »

Today I am teaming up with the awesome LDSgreats.com for another great GIVEAWAY! If you haven’t ever visited the website then head on over (HERE) and take a look around. Their website/store is full of items for Primary, YM/YW, Relief Society and more! But before we get into all the giveaway information I wanted to introduce you to LDS Greats and let you know why they are so GREAT. LDS Greats was founded, in 2007, by people like you, whose lives… Read more »

This post contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you. I was given this advent devotional for free, however, the opinions are, as always, 100% my own. Thanks! Christmas is right around the corner, can you believe it? Christmas is my favorite time of year, but it always is a very busy time as well. It’s a time we hurry from store to store shopping for presents, we attend school concerts and parties, but more importantly it’s a time that we hopefully take… Read more »

Today I am sharing a great Book of Mormon journal for children and youth. Do your children study the scriptures? ‘Scripture Power’ is a great companion for children to use while reading the Book of Mormon. This journal makes it fun and easy to learn along the way, as well as including prompts that fulfill Faith in God requirements. With activities, questions, and writing prompts, your kids will learn to apply the stories and lessons to their own lives, while reading… Read more »

At the end of May each of the auxiliaries in my ward were given a challenge. We were asked to read the entire Book of Mormon by June 28th. I knew it was going to be a hard task, but I tried my hardest to do the challenge. I knew I needed something to help me track my progress and to help me know what page/chapter I should be on. I looked around on the internet, but didn’t see anything for… Read more »

Today 2 of my 4 kiddos started another school year. Can I be honest….I was a little excited. 🙂 I’m ready to get back on a schedule, for the craziness of summer to come to a close, for my home to stay somewhat clean for a few hours (remember, there are still 2 at home, haha). Today I wanted to share a bookmark I created. I created this bookmark hoping that we could use it to help us through… Read more »
