LDS Scripture Cards

Hi friends! It’s Marissa from Prickly Pear Design Co. These scripture cards are great for adding truth and light to every day and are perfect for Young Women or Relief Society sisters. Not too long ago, I was washing dishes and listening to talks from past General Conferences. I ran across a talk, The Power of Scripture, by Elder Richard G. Scott. His words spoke to my soul, especially since President Monson instructed us to read our scriptures during this last… Read more »

Hello! It’s Marissa from Prickly Pear Design Co.  and I’m excited to be sharing these cute little Pick Me Up Treat Tags with you today!  A few weeks ago, I got called to be the Compassionate Service Leader. When I heard those words, I automatically thought “babies, surgeries, funerals…” but compassionate service is so much more than that. Compassionate service is a chance not only to help out in times of need, but to uplift. And as I thought about… Read more »

Personal Progress S'mores Ideas

I LOVE S’mores! So anytime I have a chance to sit around a fire and cook some up…I will. This summer I thought it would be fun to have S’mores for one of our Personal Progress nights. The only thing was I wasn’t sure how to incorporate S’mores into Personal Progress. I decided to look through my Personal Progress booklet and read through the experiences to see if I could come up with something. . As I read Integrity #1… Read more »

Have your YW been busy working on Personal Progress this summer? Do you need a fun mutual idea to reward your girls?  At the beginning of summer I had a Personal Progress Ice Cream party for the YW in my ward. It was fun and delicious! And I was able to catch up on where all the girls were and what they had passed off. For the activity I thought it would be fun to have a Personal Progress Ice… Read more »

Young Women Value Hair Ties

Today I wanted to share a great Personal Progress gift that I recently gave to the YW in my ward. These YW Value Hair Ties would make a great gift for anyone, but they are great for Young Womens… I first saw these adorable Value Hair ties on Pinterest, but when I clicked on the link it only had a picture. I searched and searched, but couldn’t find the source of the picture. So I decided to create my own…. Read more »

Are you ready for a Personal Progress Game Night?   Back in February I shared a cute little Olympic Torch treat that I was using for an upcoming YW Personal Progress Olympic activity. As part of our Olympics we had a fun game night with the girls for a Wednesday Night mutual activity. The Sunday before our game night I handed out some invitations for each of the girls. I also game them a treat…a box filled with Gold candy,… Read more »

A couple weeks ago, as I was planning out some YW Personal Progress activities, I had an idea. I thought it would be fun to have a Personal Progress Olympics! I searched to see if anyone else had done something similar, but all I saw was an Olympic theme for New Beginnings…bummer. I didn’t have alot of time to plan, but I came up with a few ideas and we began our Olympics {full post will be coming soon}. We… Read more »

Do your YW need a bit of a ‘jump-start’ on their Personal Progress? This activity is great for YW who are new to Personal Progress or those that have kind of fizzled out.   While searching for Personal Progress ideas, I came across THIS idea and thought it was excellent. We decided it would be great for our YW, so I got to work planning. Instead of using this activity for mutual we used it for a Personal Progress Sleep-over…. Read more »

I have a great activity for those of you in Activity Days and even Young Women’s.  When I was the Activity Day Leader I decided to do a Mother/Daughter activity on budgeting. The activity turned out great and the girls had a blast (and the Mothers did too)! For this activity the girls will get a little glimpse of how important budgeting is. They will receive a paycheck and then have to fill out a budget and be tested on… Read more »
