Random Acts of Kindness Cards

Hey everyone!  It’s Natalie here from the Little LDS Ideas Creative Team.  I’m excited to share these Random Acts of Kindness Cards I’ve designed to help with a Family Home EveningActivity Days, or Mutual activity.

.

I’ve seen this activity growing in popularity lately.  The basic idea is to go around the community and provide small acts of service or Random Acts of Kindness.  These aren’t done with bells and whistles, but are quick and undetected.

Below are some ideas I’ve collected for acts of kindness that can easily be done for free or for a small cost.

Random Acts of Kindness

Leave a kind note on someone’s car

Pick up trash around the neighborhood

Befriend a new boy/girl at school

Leave a new package of baby wipes at a diaper changing station

Hold the door open for someone else

Leave a bag of microwaveable popcorn on a Redbox

Tape coins to a washing machine at a laundromat

Make a dessert for a neighbor

Write chalk messages on the sidewalk

Leave flowers on someone’s car or doorstep

Just the thought of going around to purposefully try and brighten the day of a family member, friend, neighbor, and/or stranger will bring a smile to your face.  Imagine how you and the youth who participate will feel as you finish your activity and share what you did for others.  It’s a perfect way to teach the power of loving one another.

Some of the Random Acts of Kindness may need some kind of note to draw the recipient’s eye to let them know you left something on purpose.  You can download and print the colorful set of Random Acts of Kindness Cards I made to include with your acts of service.  (To save on ink you can print in grayscale on colored paper)

I’ve also included two pages of kind and encouraging notes.  You could print out a bunch of these and go around a full parking lot spreading kindness!
