I have a fun Visiting Teaching idea for this month. As you know, this month you and your VT companion get to choose what you will share from the October 2015 General Conference talks.
If you’re like me, it’s always hard to pick just one talk to share with your VT sisters. So I came up with an idea. Hope you like it!
As I was thinking of ideas for Visiting Teaching this month, I thought of sharing favorite talks and quotes with the sisters I visit. Then I thought of treats that I could give them. If you haven’t noticed, I LOVE Riesens, haha. I decided to use ‘Riesens’ and for my treats this month. Feel free to replace the ‘Riesens’ with chocolate covered Raisins if you’d like, still a yummy treat. And I created a tag for those of you who might want to use raisins. Yay! Here is what the tags look like:
To go along with your treat and tag, I thought it would be nice to give a list of your favorite Conference quotes and/or Conference talks. So, I created some cards for you to do just that!
Just print these out and fill in your favorite talks & quotes!
Getting It All Together!
Here is how you can put your treat together!
Decide which treats you will be using, and then find something to put them in. I love these clear plastic boxes that I found on Pick Your Plum. You can also find them on Etsy. But feel free to use a clear plastic treat bag.
Next, print out my November 2015 VT Cards (link below), and cut them out. Once you’ve printed and cut each card, you will need to fill them out.
After all that is finished place the tag in front, and then a ‘Favorite Talks’ card, and a ‘Favorite Quotes’ card behind it. Punch a hole in the corner, and then attach to your box or baggie with some cute ribbon or string. And that’s it!
Then, go visit your wonderful VT sisters, and share your favorite talks/quotes with them! Tell them that they can enJOY the candy as they read the talks you listed.
I hope you enjoy this month’s Visiting Teaching Message idea, and use it for the wonderful sisters you visit. I would love to hear if you use it. I would also love to hear some of your favorite talks and/or quotes, so leave me a comment and let me know.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
