We have all been asked by our beloved Prophet to take the time to study the conference talks over the next six months.
“I encourage you to read the talks…and to ponderthe messages contained therein. I have found in my own life that I gain even more from these inspired sermons when I studythem in greater depth.”
{President Thomas S. Monson; Oct. 2012}
By studying and pondering each of the talks, we can find answers to questions in our lives, receive inspiration, have strength to resist temptations, and gain a stronger testimony.
After the April 2013 General Conference I had an idea for my husband and I to study the Conference talks.
Every Sunday we would pick a specific talk to study for the entire week. The following Sunday, after all the kiddos are in bed, we would sit down and discuss what we read about. We would share our thoughts, feelings, or experiences that may have happened.
But my idea was just that…an idea. With the end of school and our newest little one arriving soon, my idea got lost in all the craziness.
So, I decided that I really want to try this for the October General Conference. To help us out I created a printable.
Since there are too many talks to read one per week, I decided to split them up into topics (you can find the topics on LDS.org).
Each week we will pick a topic that we would like to read about and write it on the space for that week.
Since there’s only 14 topics and 22 weeks you can split some of the topics up (there’s a few that have 3-4 talks per topic). Or you could even include the talks from the General Relief Society Meeting.
We will read the talks from the topic  we chose throughout the week
(this will be done individually not as a couple).
At the end of the week we will take some time, for just the two of us, to discuss what we have read or talk about any questions we may have.

We plan on doing this as a couple, but you could do this by yourself as personal study, or with a friend. This would also be great to give to the Youth or to the sisters you Visit Teach or the families you Home Teach.

I’m excited to start and to read each of the Conference talks. I would love to have you join me for my 22 Weeks of General Conference.

If you would like to just print one of my printables below. I created 2. The only difference is one is blue while the other is red and each one has a different quote at the bottom. So, pick which one you like, print it out, and start reading. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

    Thank you so much for creating this!! And sharing it! I, too, have had the best of intentions to do something like this in the past but never got around to it. I’m hoping to create family home evening lessons around each of these topics to help our kids really absorb and love the General Conference messages.
