A few years ago I served as the Personal Progress Advisor in our ward. I loved coming up with ideas to encourage the Young Women to work on their Personal Progress. I have been released from that calling for quite some time, but I still like to come up with fun ideas to get Young Women to work on their Personal Progress. This ‘YW Personal Progress Rainbow’ idea has been an idea that I have had in my mind for a long time, and I finally finished it and am sharing it!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and this printable would make the perfect printable/gift to pass out to the YW in your ward. Since it’s St. Patrick’s Day, I went with a rainbow and pot of gold theme, which just happens to be each of the value colors!
YW Personal Progress Rainbow
The idea for the YW Personal Progress Rainbow, is to the have the girls complete one requirement from each of the values (each color of the rainbow/cloud/gold). There is a small circle beside each value where they can check it off to keep track.
As they work on each requirement, the hope is to realize that Personal Progress is worth more than gold. But to encourage them a little more, once they have completed their rainbow, reward them with a gold or rainbow treat.
There are so many fun rainbow themed treats on Pinterest to choose from. You could fill a skinny plastic tube with bubble gum, and have Rolos on the bottom, you could give them a bag of skittles, or you could give them YW Personal Progress Value Hair Ties, like THESE!
You could also hand the cards out with a bag of skittles, and then tell the girls that they will receive their ‘Pot Of Gold’ if they complete the entire rainbow. There are so many fun ways you could use this Personal Progress Rainbow printable!
Would your YW love this challenge? I have included free downloads for my “Personal Progress Rainbow” cards as well as a printable “Instruction Card” that you could also give to the girls. Just use the link below to print!
I hope you enjoy my Personal Progress Rainbow printables, and use them for the YW in your ward. I would love to hear if you do, so leave me a comment or snap a picture and tag me on Instagram!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
