UPDATE: I still had people having problems using google docs, so I decided to move my files somewhere else. So try the new link out and let me know if you’re still having problems downloading/viewing the files. Thanks!!

When I got called to be the 2nd Counselor in our Primary Presidency I really didn’t know what to expect, I had never been in a Primary Presidency. At our first meeting, the Primary President let us choose what we wanted to be in charge of, so I chose Quarterly Activities. I don’t think I knew what I was getting in to. Just kidding, it’s alot of work, but I really love doing it.

So, it was time for an Activity, and the children had been memorizing the Articles of Faith. I thought that a Scavenger Hunt would be fun, so I searched the internet for an Articles of Faith Scavenger Hunt. No Luck! I decided to create my own. So, with the help from my sister, we came up with a Scavenger Hunt. It took some work, but I was so excited!
The day came for the activity. I got to the church and started setting up all of the rooms, hanging up signs, and then came the clues…I was not prepared for this! I didn’t have any kind of list telling me where to put the clues, and we only had a few minutes before the activity started. I was so upset, I thought I had ruined my first ever Quarterly Activity. But it worked out, and the kids had alot of fun.
So, today I am sharing my Articles of Faith Scavenger Hunt with you. It’s taken quite a bit of work, but I am really excited to share this with all of you. I had to save this activity into 3 seperate documents.
First: Scavenger Hunt Instruction Sheet-this will give you an overview, and tell you what you need to do to prepare for the activity
Second: Scavenger Hunt Clue Instruction Sheet– this includes instructions on making the clues, setting them up, and then I have included all the clues that will be used for the activity.
Third: Scavenger Hunt Instruction Door Signs– these signs will go on each of the doors. They have instructions that tell the children what they will be doing in that room. Also attached in this document are all of the games/puzzles for each Article of Faith.
There’s alot of pages, but most everything is there for you (there’s a few pictures, signs, that you’ll have to come up with, but I tell you what they are).
I have tried to explain everything so that it’s easy to understand. When you look at the document don’t get discouraged, I promise it’s not as difficult and time consuming as it looks, haha.
I am actually planning on doing this activity again at the end of the year, since my first attempt didn’t actually turn out the way I wanted.
So take a look. And if you have any questions about anything please leave a comment or send me an email at: littleldsideas@hotmail.com Hope you like it!

This has taken alot of work, you can post this idea on your websites, but please don’t take credit for any of the work. Thanks!

This is exactly what I was looking for! I had searched for article of faith quarterly activities over a month ago and didn’t see anything I was too interested in. Thank you so much! You are very talented!

Our ward was looking for something we could do for a quarterly activity and I came upon this. It looked awesome. You really did a great job at explaining how to put everything together. We ended up doing this last weekend and it turned out great! I had several kiddos come up to me to say that it was the best activity ever! I agree that getting the clues in order was the most challenging, but your charts made it easy. Thanks for sharing your ideas, charts, and games.

    Amy, Kelli, & Babkm5,
Thank you so much for the comment. I’m so glad you liked the activity.
Babkm5: I’m glad to hear that it turned out well. And I’m also glad to hear that I did ok at explaining everything. That was my one worry…that no one would get what I was trying to say, haha. I’m so glad your Primary had fun.
Thanks again everyone for the comments! I really enjoy doing this and sharing my ideas with all of you.

You are saving our primary activity! Our president recently moved and the people that she had assigned will be out of town so we were going to play some games to have the kids learned the articles of faith and then have an ice cream party…..but I think the scavenger hunt will be MORE fun, specially for the older kids. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing!
