Whenever I prepare for an upcoming quarterly activity, I always call my older sister to see what she thinks. I don’t know what it is, but my brain really starts working if I have someone to talk about with. I have now been in the Primary Presidency for almost 2 years, so she has heard quite a few of my ideas. We recently talked about making a Primary Quarterly Acivity Book. But I always felt that maybe it would be better if I shared my ideas, instead of published them in a book. One reason is, if I were to share my ideas by publishing them, I would want them cheap. And I don’t know if that would be possible if I published them. Secondly, some of these ideas came from other places, I just added on to them. I don’t want to get credit for something that is half mine. And lastly, I have been thinking about this for awhile, and every time I thought about selling my ideas I just had this feeling like that is not what I should do. I am here to help others by sharing my ideas, so that is what I’m going to do.
So, I am going to start working on my Quarterly Activity Ideas, typing them up (so that you actually know what I’m talking about, hehe), saving them as PDF files, and posting them onto my blog so all of you can read them and use them. I am excited to share all of these with you. They are fun activities that the children will enjoy and learn!
Today, I am going to share the Journey to Eternal Families Primary Quarterly Activity. We did this activity last year, that’s why it’s based on Eternal Families. But I think that you could change it up a little, so that you can use it this year. Instead of Journey to Eternal Families, you could name it something like Journey Back Home, and talk about what the children need to do to make it back to their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Now, where I got the idea for this activity. Last year, while searching for ideas, I saw a cute idea for a drive-in movie activity. I read about it, and then my brain started working….Here is my version of a Drive-in movie activity that has to do with Eternal Families. I hope you enjoy!!
