{Primary} Faith In God Challenge Cards

Last year I shared my first set of Faith In God Challenge cards, HERE, and so many of you have used them and enjoyed them. I hope using the Faith in God Challenge cards has helped children in your Primary complete their Faith In God or at least get a good start on it.

I had someone ask if I was going to update and add any new cards. I have had it on my to-do list, so I decided to take some time and finally get it done. Today I am sharing my 2nd set of Faith in God Challenge Cards. Enjoy!

Faith in God Sunday Challenge Cards

What is a Faith in God Challenge?

Well, LDS Primary children ages 8-11 are asked to pass off 2 Faith In God requirements from each category per year: Learning & Living the Gospel, Serving Others, Developing Talents. That means 6 requirements per year. Once a child is 11 they will need to complete 4 additional “Preparing for Priesthood” and “Preparing for Young Women” requirements as well.

I totally understand how busy life can be, so when I came across this challenge, I knew our Primary had to do it. We chose to do this every other month, since they only needed to pass off 6 per year. Here is what we did.

We chose every second Sunday to be our ‘FIG Sunday’. We would remind the children that they would be receiving a Faith in God card to take home. They would have until the end of the month to bring their cards back for a prize. For a little while the prize was a lollipop from our lollipop tree (HERE), and then we also tried a fun prize idea (HERE).

We also made a rule that they had to wait until the following Sunday to bring their cards back. We had a few that would run down to their parents and have them sign it and then bring their cards back.

Faith in God Trackers

To keep track of everyone that brought their cards back, I used some great Faith in God tracker sheets, HERE. You could also print out a tracker card for each child and then place them onto a ring. As they pass things off, check it off. I have created some Faith in God tracker cards HERE and HERE!

.

I also thought these cards would be great to print out and place in a jar for a great Sunday afternoon activity. Have your child(ren) pick a card from the jar and complete it.

To keep track of my children’s progress I decided to download the ‘My Faith in God app’. You can find it in the App store, HERE!  You can also head on over to Facebook and check out their page, HERE. It’s been nice having it on my phone, especially when books get misplaced. 😉 You aren’t able to keep track of your whole Primary, but it is nice for your own family.

I hope you enjoy my FIG Challenge cards. I would love to hear if you use them and what you think. Have they helped the children complete their Faith in God? I would love to know.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
