Sharing Time Idea from the 2016 Outline
Encourage understanding: Use pictures to briefly tell the story of Jesus’s death (see Matthew 27:33–60; Mark 15:22–46; Luke 23:33–53; John 19:17–42). Ask the children to think about how Jesus’s family and friends must have felt when He died. In advance, ask several children (or adults) to come to Primary prepared to share a story of one of the witnesses of Christ’s Resurrection, such as:
•Mary Magdalene (see John 20:11–18)
•Peter and John (see John 20:2–10)
•Thomas (see John 20:24–29)
•The Nephites (see 3 Nephi 11:8–17)
Give them name tags to indicate whose story they are sharing.
Sharing Time Ideas from Little LDS Ideas
I am getting this posted really late this week, I apologize. But I have some great ideas to share with you today. Most of these are ideas I have used in the past, so take a look and pick any that you like. Enjoy!
Last year I shared a great ‘detective’ resurrection idea (that I had actually shared before), that I’m sure would be great for this week’s idea. Here is a short description of the idea:
For this Sharing Time you will be dressing up like a detective to ‘find out more’ about the Resurrection. To look like an inspector or detective, wear a trench coat and carry a large magnifying glass.Tell the children that you are looking for clues about the reality of the Resurrection/to learn more about the Resurrection.You will hide different ‘clues’ around the Primary room. Each set of clues will represent one of the pictures listed in the Primary Outline.

He Lives! Resurrection Shoe Activity
Another great idea from the same post as above, is a fun shoe activity. For this Sharing Time you will be bringing in different shoes that represent the people that witnessed Jesus Christ’s resurrection. Here’s a short description of this Sharing Time:
Display three shoe boxes, and ask the children to raise their hands if they like to try on new shoes. Explain that you want them to imagine trying on some other people’s shoes, but more important you want them to imagine what it would be like to actually be that person.One by one, take out a pair of shoes from each box.

‘Who Am I’
Another great and simple idea is to play ‘Who Am I’. Before Primary pick the people you would like to focus on for your lesson (ideas given in outline). Once you have chosen your witnesses, write up 4-5 clues about each person. You could then decide whether you will use pictures or have someone come in as the person.
To Play: Invite a child up to the front and have them read each clue aloud. If the other children know who it is after the first clue, have them raise their hand or stand up. Once the clues have all been read, invite someone to share who they think the person is.
You could then read about the person, or have the actual person come in and share their story.
