This month’s Visiting Teaching message is such a great one: ‘Our Potential for Parenthood’. Have you read the message? What was your favorite part of it? As I read the message I noticed the word ‘JOY’ in one of the quotes. Being a Mother may be stressful and times, but it brings so much ‘JOY’ into my life, so I thought some yummy Almond Joy candy bars would be the perfect treat for this month…and some cute quote and scripture cards to go along with it. 🙂
I always have such a hard time picking just one quote from the Visiting Teaching message, so I usually end up using several of the quotes. I also like to include the scripture references as well as the ‘Consider This’ question. The questions would be great to write down in a journal and ponder. You could use the scripture references to help you think about the question more or look up other scriptures and talks.
As you think of things, record your thoughts in your journal. You could even come up with other question about parenthood and make goals to improve.
I loved this quote from this month’s message:
Though not all of us become parents in this life, we can nurture children of every age. We enjoy the blessings of being part of Heavenly Father’s family, and we experience the joys and challenges of being part of an earthly family. And for many, parenthood awaits them in the eternities ahead.
This is where the Almond Joy comes in. 🙂 I thought it was such a great quote, and the perfect treat to go with it.
Our Potential for Parenthood
For this month’s message I have created 6 fun cards to give to your sisters. Print them out, cut them, punch a hole, put them on a ring, and you’ve got wonderful quote and scripture cards that they can keep in their scriptures or church bag.
Or do what I did! Grab a yummy treat and tie the cards to the treat with some cute string or ribbon. Whatever you decide, I’m sure your sisters will love it!
I have 2 different sizes for you to use. The first set fits all 6 cards to a page. I love the size, but they are a little on the ‘smaller’ side, and might be difficult to read. So I went ahead and also created some that were a little larger. But if you still have trouble with some of the quotes, just let me know and I will make some a little larger. 🙂
For the larger cards I was able to fit 4 to a sheet. For the second page of the larger cards, I went ahead and included the last 2 cards twice. I couldn’t just put 2 cards…waste of space. 🙂 I figured you would be printing multiple copies anyway, so this would save on printing.
I hope you enjoy this month’s printables, and are able to use them. I would love to hear if you do, so leave me a comment letting me know. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.
