It’s officially Back to School! And here in Idaho it is starting to feel like Fall. I really love this time of year. The weather is great, the leaves are changing, I just love the Fall.
Now for my Sharing Time Idea.
Once again, my idea is really similar to the idea given in the Primary Outline. I start out with splitting into groups and reading the 3 different scriptures. After each group has read their scripture, I thought you could discuss them by asking questions or having the children match their scripture to a phrase that had to do with the scripture that they read.
Next, you will discuss the importance of prayer. I also liked the idea of the chart with the 4 columns for each part of prayer. I changed it up by finding several pictures that had to do with things that we might pray for (examples: our home, the Prophet, the missionaries, etc). I have included several pictures for you to print and cut out. For Sharing Time, you will tape each of the pictures underneath some of the children’s chairs. One by one the children will look underneath their chair and have to decide whether it’s something we ‘Thank Thee’ for or we ‘Ask Thee’ for. Some pictures have 2 copies, like ‘Our Family’. You can Thank Heavenly Father for your family and also ask Him to bless them. Don’t put both pictures underneath a chair, just one. Have the child choose which column it goes under, if they only say one of the columns get the other picture and explain to the children that there are 2 of these pictures because you can ‘Thank’ and ‘Ask’ for it.
I also included a little prayer chart that you could copy and give to each child. Challenge them to say their prayers everyday for 1 month.
So, there’s a quick overview of the Sharing Time.

Hi! Your website is helping me a lot here in Italy!!!! I have to email you some of the ideas I used in my class, but I have to translate them in English! Can you please tell me what fonts you used for the prayer chart (you are a genius!!!) I’d like to use the same font if available.

The font I used for the title and the days of the week is ‘aka Dylan Collage’. Here is where you can download the font:
The font at the bottom (the explanation) is ‘PeaShelleyBelley’ Here is where you can find that font:

The clipart that I used for the calendar of the little boy and girl is from a Clipart CD I have. I’m sure you could use anything for that.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!!

I just wanted to express my thanks for all the effort you put into this website. I was just called into the Primary Pres. and I have never served in the Primary before. I was asked to do sharing time the first week I was in!! This blog has been so amazing. Thanks you so much for doing it. It has really helped me. Thanks
