Spiritual Summer BINGO

On the last day of school, as we were driving home, my children excitedly handed me their Summer Reading Lists. They were so excited to read the books on the list, and I was even more excited for them to read because it meant less time sitting watching TV or playing electronics. As we sat their talking about their reading lists I had a thought/idea come to my mind. We see all kinds of summer reading lists, but I have… Read more »

LDS Testimony Bookmark

Earlier this month I did something that I have wanted to do for years. I finally went back to school. You might have seen me post something on Facebook about the Pathway Program through the church and BYU-Idaho, and that I was going to participate in it. You can read about the Pathway Program, HERE! At the beginning of the summer the Pathway missionaries came to our ward and spoke to us. I was down in Primary, so I didn’t… Read more »

LDS Scripture Study Challenge

What kind of relationship do you have with your Father in Heaven, and your Savior, Jesus Christ? A few weeks ago I talked about this particular question on a Facebook Live video. I was discussing and sharing teaching tips for Elder Renlund’s talk, “That I Might Draw All Men unto Me”. Before my video, my husband and I studied and discussed this talk and thought that the main topic of his talk was on our relationship with Jesus Christ and… Read more »

General Conference Quote Jar

A couple weeks ago I saw an idea for an ‘LDS General Conference Quote Jar’. I really liked the idea, and it was similar to another idea that I found a few years ago called ‘Conference Preserves’ that I shared about here. I LOVE the idea of writing/typing your favorite quotes and placing them in a jar to read over the next 6 months. Each day for the next six months, pull a quote from the jar and ponder what it teaches. Keep a journal… Read more »

Today I am sharing a great Book of Mormon journal for children and youth. Do your children study the scriptures? ‘Scripture Power’ is a great companion for children to use while reading the Book of Mormon. This journal makes it fun and easy to learn along the way, as well as including prompts that fulfill Faith in God requirements. With activities, questions, and writing prompts, your kids will learn to apply the stories and lessons to their own lives, while reading… Read more »

At the end of May each of the auxiliaries in my ward were given a challenge. We were asked to read the entire Book of Mormon by June 28th. I knew it was going to be a hard task, but I tried my hardest to do the challenge. I knew I needed something to help me track my progress and to help me know what page/chapter I should be on. I looked around on the internet, but didn’t see anything for… Read more »

Today 2 of my 4 kiddos started another school year. Can I be honest….I was a little excited. 🙂 I’m ready to get back on a schedule, for the craziness of summer to come to a close, for my home to stay somewhat clean for a few hours (remember, there are still 2 at home, haha). Today I wanted to share a bookmark I created. I created this bookmark hoping that we could use it to help us through… Read more »
