Hi, friends! It’s Chrissy from Teepee Girl and I am sharing a printable that I hope you will love. I hope you can use it for gifts, home decor, and lesson handouts.
This printable quotes part of Alma 34:38, where we are encouraged to “live in thanksgiving daily.” This seems like the perfect scripture for a Thanksgiving printable!
Gratitude is so important. I recently read an article from Forbes magazine that listed and explained 7 scientifically proven benefits of gratitude. The author stated that gratitude helps us form more and better relationships, improves our physical and psychological health, and improves our self-esteem. She also said that science shows that grateful people sleep better, have more empathy, and have increased mental strength and resiliency. (You can read the full article HERE.)
And I love what our church leaders have said about gratitude. President Faust said: “A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being.”
And President Monson said, “We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues.”
So I wanted a printable that can remind us of the importance of daily gratitude. It’s certainly something that I am working on.
When life gets tough, it can be super hard to see our blessings. When I have stretched myself to count my blessings, life seems to become more bearable. It’s easier to have an eternal perspective. I feel God’s love more. Life just seems more manageable.
